Cae Court is situated within walking distance (6 minutes) of Bridgend Railway Station, with a direct service to London Paddington (2 hours and 20 minutes).
A short drive will take you from Bridgend to the famous Heritage Coast, where large, sandy beaches are backed by jaw-dropping cliffs with infinite possibilities for surfing and sea-kayaking. Rest Bay in Porthcawl, a 15 minute drive, is the UK's most renowned beach for surfing outside Cornwall.
Porthcawl also boasts a unique Elvis Presley festival in September, a must for fans of the Rock 'n' Roll King!
For walkers, it is possible to follow the river down to the coast, taking in the incredible dune network at Merthyr Mawr (part of the filming of Lawrence of Arabia took place here), as well as the ruined Castles of Candleston and Ogmore, and the famous stepping stones, at the foot of Ogmore Castle.
Experience pony trekking from Ogmore Farm to the wide open beach near the lapping fringe of the sea, with a two hour trek meandering from the yard twice a day, traversing rivers, beach and high sand dunes.
Also nearby, you will find The National Trust property, Dyffryn Gardens. Other local attractions are Margam Park, Ewenny Pottery, an ancient working pottery in Bridgend, and Atlantic College with the lovely St. Donat's Arts Centre.
Shoppers will delight in the Macarthur Glen designer outlet village and a short train ride or car journey will take you into the centres of Cardiff or Swansea.
All this and more are so easily accessible because of the M4 motorway as well as the railway line, making Cae Court the perfect place to stay for business or leisure, or even a stopover en-route to the Irish ferries at Swansea or Fishguard. We look forward to making your stay a memorable one.
